Amala Paul made her film debut through the Malayalam remake film ' Neelathamara' which was directed by Lal Jose. But she didnt get further offers from Malayalam even though the film was a success. Later she acted in some Tamil movies. But the turning point in her career was the movie 'Mynaa' directed by Prabhu solomon in the year 2010. Her acting in the film receives much acclaim from the critics. She made her re-entry in the Malayalam film industry through the film 'Ithu Nammuda Katha'. She also done another Malayalam film 'Run Baby Run' opposite Mohanlal. She had done films in Telugu also.
